Being a software engineer has its own pros and cons. For me, I love waking up in the morning, putting on my office wear and commuting to the office to start another day at work. As a software engineer, I work closely with a group to accomplish and complete a particular full lifecycle software development assignment. Hearing the terms, I know it’s quite daunting; however, being a software engineer also has its perks. Aside from a considerably large monthly income, I am able to exercise my skills and capabilities with the subject and industry that I love. Growing up as a child, I loved using computers, especially for gaming purposes. But as time matured, so did I. I wasn’t only interested in the games and other software applications I could get my hands on, but in the intricate process that they are designed and developed as well. Over the course of time, I graduated from an accepted professional degree as a software engineer and here I am.

Now, going back to the perks of filling in the shoes of a software engineer. It was not only recently when I feasted my eyes upon a viable laptop computer which I walked by the gadget store. It was sleek and elegantly designed with all the right curves and features put into it. Fortunately, the other day, I saw one just like it at our office. It turns out our Christmas raffle draw’s first prize was the laptop. I was fortunate enough to win the free laptop and saved a huge amount of money if I’d bought it in the first place. Thanks to being a software engineer, I now have a free laptop for home use.
