As Tech Lead of this project, I managed a team of 7-10 individuals through a six month project to rebuild Amnesty International’s website from the ground up. This project pushed drupal internationalization to the edges and launched December 10th, 2008 as a resounding success.
Features: Level 2 accessibility standards, 4 language support (including Arabic), complex workflows for 400+ employees, CiviCRM membership integration, much more!

One of the two definitive sites for College Basketball, this Drupal site needed an overhaul. We provided strategy consulting, slapped a new theme on it, converted the entire site to panels, added WYSWYG capabilities, asset management and more in a very short time period. The result? bounce rate decreased by 50%, and pages per visit up by 200% almost immediately.
The Great Turtle Race

A major collaboration between Yahoo!, various sponsors and the community of scientists dedicated to protecting the leather back sea turtles and their migration. This project involved heave flash remoting with Flex and PHP, reading in satellite data as it was provided to the server and plotting the turtle’s progress with heavy traffic and media exposure (national TV).
I also led a campaign to create and distribute widgets (see the one on the sidebar). This campaign to place widgets on myspace pages during the race led to a viral phenomenon.

The Hopkins Marine Center in Montery, CA is one of the most important centers for tagging and tracking of endangered marine life in the world.
This site highlights their work and more importantly the animals they are working to save.

A project of the Quixote Center, EJUSA provides support and networking for Death Penalty abolition groups throughout the US.
I built an advanced and customized CCRM distribution for tracking legislator positions and the constituency.

San Francisco Department of Public Health - Communicable Disease Control & Prevention
This site brought together 3 of the 5 major departments in the SFDPH. Official City Government resource for bio-terrorism reaction and prevention, the Communicable Disease Control Unit and the Communicable Disease Prevention Unit.

The McConnell Foundation scholarship program
The McConnell Foundation is one of the largest family foundations in California, and their scholarship initiative for Rural North State Californians is a breakthrough initiative completely run on Open Source software (Drupal and CiviCRM). As the lead engineer, working directly with the client to roll out this project over a 9 month time frame, managing scope and requirements definition, partnership with CiviCRM core developers, and Drupal development with CivicActions staff.
